On behalf of the DeWitt Chamber of Commerce, it is a great pleasure to welcome you to our community.
DeWitt, Arkansas, the county seat of Arkansas County, is proudly nestled between years of heritage and natural resources of our state and our country. Within a few miles of our historic downtown city square you will find Arkansas Post, the oldest settlement and the territorial capital of Arkansas before the capital was moved to Little Rock in 1821.
Also nearby is the White River National Wildlife Refuge, one of the largest remaining bottomland hardwood forests in the Mississippi River Valley with fertile forests and 300 lakes interlaced with streams, sloughs, and bayous and a haven for native wildlife and migratory birds.
Rich with spirit and tradition, DeWitt is a community full of civic-minded individuals and organizations, such as the DeWitt Chamber of Commerce, working closely to continue our pioneer spirit and pride for the betterment of our hometown.
Our local business owners have invested many years in our community -- some as many as 50 years or more -- to make sure that our heritage continues. I invite you to patronize our businesses. You, too, can invest in our community to help create a stronger and revitalized local economy.
You may find that DeWitt is like stepping back into a simpler way of life, where neighbors are friends. Discover the enjoyment of a DeWitt Day in DeWitt, Arkansas.
You just might want to stay!
